About Me

Erik Carlsson

My name is Erik. I'm a Senior Engineer with experience across engineering, project management, coaching, and leadership. I've worked across fintech, university IT environments, and large corporations. Throughout it all, I've consistently been a proponent of Agile and servant leadership. I started fiddling with computers in 1986 and never really stopped.

I'm originally from Sweden, moved to Guernsey in 2020, and since 2022 I've been based in Edinburgh, where I live with my husband.

When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, gaming, and getting through a book or two. My favourite author of all time is Douglas Adams, but I read or listen to just about anything - from classics like Moby Dick, The Color Purple, and The Count of Monte Cristo to more modern works like Clovenhoof, The Primal Hunter, Rivers of London, and Greta Helsing.

This website is where I write about my thoughts - mostly professional, sometimes not. It's also where I shamelessly promote the side projects I build to learn new things or or prove myself wrong.
